Age on an invitation
My mom is turning 60 next month and I am getting invites done for her party. Is it wrong to put her age on the invite?

Re: Age on an invitation
Not at all! I threw my mom a surprise 50th a few years ago and I said so on the card. We also had an 85th bday party for my grandmother 2 years ago and again the age was on the card...

Re: Age on an invitation
why?
Aren't you having a big party cause she is turning 60? Like you wouldn't have a party for her if she was turning 58 right?

Re: Age on an invitation
We did this recently. It was my Grandparent's 60th anniversary and my Grandma's 80th birthday. That's what the party was for so we mentioned it on the invitations.

Re: Age on an invitation
absolutely!
my mom also hates to know her real age
but i did a little poem "from her grandkids" on the invite. (it was a photo invite, a photo of the kids) as if they were throwing her the big bash. my mom doesnt care to be the spotlight so a pic of her would have made her feel awkward.. so she and everyone else loved the invite.
and for my MIL's, she also HATES to admit her age. so I did a little poem for everyone to "Shhh" for the surprise (and had the age on it). "Guess who's turning 60, and she doesnt want anyone to know it, its a surprise so please dont blow it.. this was over 5yrs ago. so I can barely remember, lol. and something like "The real surprise will be the look on __'s face)
DEf put her age ! happy birthday to her !
