i think we just don't have enough deductions ( no kids), and our combined income is "too high"...

Although you might not like this answer, that is actually a good thing. You don't want the gov't to hold your money. I actually claimed more so I can get more in my check each week. I would rather have more grocery money that get it once a year.

We already got our money! DH filed electronically as soon as we got our W-2s.
I remember the days of getting almost nothing back or paying. That was s ucky!

This is true. Atleast we don't owe. The first year we were married, we were married for a week and had to claim together for the year--we def didn't think about that lol. That suckeddddd bc we got screwed lol. Well we didn't exactly get screwed, but it just we would have done ALOT better. This year, atleast we saw a refund. Extra $ in our pocket!

Think of it this way...would you rather not get a lot back and use YOUR money throughout the year...or have the government collecting interest on YOUR money..then get it back.
I never get money back, I make sure the right amount is taken out so that the gov't is not getting interest off my $

We haven't had ours done yet, but have an appointment for March 7. I'm not sure how much to expect back since it's our first full year with the house but I just hope we won't owe anything!!

EXACTLY!!! I increased my claims so we can get our money NOW instead of once a year.

We actually will be getting back more than last year - $35 more

I did ours through TurboTax online. We're getting money back...but we both claim single/0 so we can have the most money taken out of our checks. It's like our own little savings plan. Yes, I know the government is making money on my money, but its the best way for us to save...

Sorry to burst PP's bubble, but our first year being married killed us. We owed so much money.
Well, at least you don't owe money. I'm expecting we will this year, though we do have a child deduction we can claim!
