No Never, I never leave ANYTHING in my car. People in my neighbourhood are always having break ins. We have never had one and I think its because I leave my car empty!

I rarely leave it unlocked, but if I do the alarm automatically arms after a minute or so. I've only let it self-arm in the driveway. So, if someone opened the door, the alarm would still go off.

I used to when i was younger - until there was a little crime spree on our block and some kids tested every car to see if it was unlucked and stole the change out of it! Not a lot, but I felt pretty violated.
I also always lock the door when I'm driving. DH makes fun of me, but my friends mother was stuck in traffic in the Bronx (waiting for the throggs neck bridge) and someone ran up to her car and tried to get in.

i always lock it - it's just the push of a button so i don't even think about "do i have to or not?" b/c it's so easy - second nature - i just lock it.

I almost always lock my car until last week when my ipod and earpiece were stolen from in front of my house

yes sometimes bc where i live now is very safe....plus i never leave anything in there that is "stealable"...if they want my toyota factory radio ..go ahead LOL  But mostly I click the alarm as a habit...that I learned growing up in Queens where no one in their right mind left their car unlocked!

we live in the country so we dont lock cars at all out here...we dont lock the house 95% of the time either...in the city I lock the car ALWAYS but DH never does and leaves the keys in it half the time...insane i know...BTW we live in SW Ontario...the city only has about 40,000 ppl and where we live in the country the town dosnet even have a population lol

I leave them unlocked in the driveway. Sometimes I will click it from inside the house if I remember that I left it unlocked.
At work I lock them and when I am out and about.

Both vehicles have the alarm set up to automatically lock the doors and arm the alarm after a few minutes, so it's impossible to not lock the doors and arm the alarm (unless I manually turn off the alarm). I've never locked my keys in the car in 18 years of driving (and neither has DW).

I picked never but not so much because it is too dangerous. It's just more of a habit with the remote key pad. It's so easy to lock it with that, so why not?

I never leave the car unlocked. Even when I am unloading groceries from the car, I lock the car each time I go back in the house. I live in a safe neighborhood, but I'd kick myself if some broke into it, or stole it all together, knowing that I left the door unlocked.

I always do, but I know someone who never does and I always tell them they should . . . even if it is in their driveway.
ETA: I even lock my doors when I am pumping gas. I saw something on Dateline how people robbed cars while the driver was pumping gas.
