PSA: Primary voting

You need to be a registered member of a party--Democrat or Republican--in order to vote today. A friend of mine has been really into the candidates, debates, etc this season and was so psyched to vote today until I broke the news...

Hope this might save someone a wasted trip!

I have never voted in a primary....Im 99% sure Im a registered REpublican. Do they check when you go to vote??

Yes, because they will send you to a machine that only has your party's candidates.

This is the only reason that I registered with a party, so that I'd be able to vote in the primaries.

It's all I remember from my Government class!!
