Update on me
I just wanted to take a minute to give an update. I'm not sure if any of you remember, but I was posting back in Dec that my doc told me I was having a miscarriage, but I wasn't convinced so I wanted to wait a week and have another sono. You all were so supportive so I wanted to let you know that I did in fact have a miscarriage. I really haven't been on much since then -- first because of the holidays but also because I just didn't have the emotional strength to. I'm sorry I didn't even thank all of you for your support and encouragement, and I should have. It did help to know that people cared enough about what was happening with me to give prayers and good hopes and words of encouragement and advice.
According to my dates, I should have been almost 10 weeks, but the baby was only measuring 7 weeks, which was about the same size as it was the week before. My doc showed me the baby on the sono and pointed out the heart and you could just see it not beating. He said the baby had not grown since week 7. It was so sad for us -- we tried for 11 months and then ended up going with an IUI. I had a D&C on 12/22 and my doc said that we can start trying again whenever we want to. He said there is no reason to wait a certain amount of time -- just that whenever I am ready, I am okay.
Now DH and I are just trying to decide whether we want to go back to the RE right away for another IUI or if we want to try on our own first. I am already over 35 so I don't want to waste any time, but on the other hand I don't know if I'm ready for the rollercoaster at the RE's office. I do know this: if we go back for another IUI, I am not having weekly sonos after I get a BFP. It was just too much -- pressure, monitoring, etc. Once I get the BFP I'm waiting to see my regular OB.

 I am sorry you had to go through that. Its very hard and emotional as well.

i dont know much about this.. but arent you the most fertile now.. so maybe try on your own the first month just to see. The decision is clearly up to you. Im sorry you going through this. I just lost had a miscarriage on 1/30 so i can understand the heartache you went through.

i am so sorry, that must have been extremely rough for you.
i don't have any advice right now except do what you feel is right... if it were me, given the age factor, i would probably go back to the RE right away - but it's totally understandable that you would not want the weekly sonos.

It's so sad that so many people have to endure these horrible horrible events
I'm so sorry.... I will say, though, that a lot of really wonderful women on this site can support you, so you will have enough strength to go through it again. definitely do it at a pace you feel comfortable with....

so sorry to hear what you have been thru
If it were me, I would go back to the RE, trying naturally and getting the BFN's month after month relly take a toll as I am sure you know. JMO, but I would want a little guidance
