Silence..........with the exception of a few shows,I'm not a big TV fan..and the only time I have the radio on is when I'm in "scrub the house" mode...

Noise.... I even have to have the TV on in order to sleep the night thru....
ditto. not to sleep through the night but just to fall asleep.

Always noise.... I'll have the radio or iPod playing if I'm cleaning or cooking or something, the radio goes on the nano-sencond I get in the car, and I can't fall asleep unless the TV is on (the sleep timer is my best friend)

I depends on the time of day. During the day, I like silence if I can get it (i.e. no baby around or baby is sleeping). Before DD if I was home alone, I needed the TV on because I was nervous.
