I am so mad !
My DH hired a new employee last month. DH had a ton of calls in response to his ad, but liked this guy. He was really happy with the guy and saw a future for him in DH's company.
Today DH has 2 deliveries and a client meeting in the morning. He is supposed to meet his employee by the client's office. He is waiting and waiting, the guy never shows. He calls and calls. No answer. So he goes to the shop by himself and sees a NOTE from the employee quitting. No notice. Nothing. The guy hasn't been picking up his phone all day.
What is WRONG WITH PEOPLE? Quit, fine. But give some notice. How crappy is that? So now DH has to figure out how to do these two deliveries by himself.
And to make matters worse, he was so excited because he thought he could make those deliveries early and go to DD's music class.
ETA: DH is a furniture maker.

That is not right. I am so sorry your DH has been put in this position today. Did he check this guys references?
I wish him luck today...and I guess things happen for a reason...he was not meant to work with this guy!

You really come across some really crappy people when you have your own business. I hear it all the time from my own DH.
I hope he finds a good one real soon!

I agree, people are crazy. I had someone quit on me at 4.30 on Friday...honestly. She offered to come back on Monday, but I told her to forget it. That is why I am in the office on my day off...

Wow that's bad.
A girl in DH's department quit last week and wrote an email to the owner and to DH. Didn't give 2 weeks notice either.. just said sorry i won't be working there anymore. 
Now DH has to do extra work and finish stuff that she started.
