Noise or silence?
I have been cooking all day and my DH walks in and goes "How the heck do you work in this kitchen all day in silence?  It would drive me insane!"
I don't know. I never put on TV or radio when I am home alone. I like the silence. He needs noise at all times (we even sleep with the TV on).
Do you prefer silence or noise?

Mostly silence.. I like to have the silence to think things through. Sometimes I have songs in my head.

i usually have the TV on in the background all day but at night i need total silence or white noise (usually a fan) or i can't fall asleep.
when i am cooking, though, i usually like silence so i don't get distracted

I need noise. The tv is on at all times, except for when we're sleeping. I have to turn it on as soon as I walk in the door. At night, we sleep with a fan on. DH likes the extra air but I like it for the noise.

My DH is the one who likes all the noise...he always has SOMETHING on. I do like music on when I'm clenaing though. I put my OPOD in its docking station, sing along and it seems like the work goes so much quicker.

I definetly need the noise. If I need to do something iand it is silent then I become distracted and what I need to do never gets done.

Silence. There is enough noise with the 2 kids, tv, computer and games going on at the same time.
The more quiet I can get, the better :)

I like noise. My house is always noisy with 2 little kids, but even when I am alone I at least have on the TV or radio.

When I am home alone, I put the TV on in the bedroom on low. Its enough that I hear something but its not blasting.

I find that I just happen to fall asleep when there is a little noise - like the tv on low - when i dont mean to sleep, like after dinner when Im just watching tv.
Then when it is silent at night when I try to sleep, I toss and turn. Im beginning to think I should get a "white noise" machine. In the summer, I love having the ac on just for the humm
