I had it for years when I lived in California... Oh yes I like it much better then cable... Do you have a HD TV? If so DirecTV has over 80 HD channels...

We have it. DH says he would not get it again. We lose our feed many times due to weather etc. Never again.

We have it and have had no problems. We live in Chicago (aka windy city) and in 3 yrs we have only lost service maybe 5 or 6 times during a very bad storm. I find the customer service to be very polite and helpful.... We had issues with one receiver and they FedEx'd a new one within 2 days and gave us 3 months free of Starz for the inconvenience.

We have DishNetwork. We switched to the dish, since the service was much more reliable than cable. When we switched years ago, we would lose cable signal when there was a forecast of rain...  I mounted the dish myself on the roof, and it is very stable. I rarely lose a signal, and from various posts on this site, I lose signals less often than many cable subscribers. I have no plans on ever switching.

Every so often call DirecTV and ask if they have any kind of upgrade special going on.. Like upgrading your dish or receiver and sometimes it's even free.. That also goes for DishNetwork.
