bridal shower help!
I am MOH in my friend's wedding. Initially I wanted to have it at the pavillion in ronkonkoma and do a hawaii theme bcs that is where my friend is going on her honeymoon. Unfortunately, the other girl in the wedding party didn't really like that idea. So I have been looking at restaurants in Suffolk county, but I'm stumped. I have no idea where to have this party. My friend is kind of a tomboy/ football lover- not foo foo or girly at all. Does anyone have any suggestions where I can throw this bridal shower- restaurant or vfw hall? Unfortunately because it is just me and the other girl, I will likely be footing a large portion of the bill and have a very limited budget. Thanks.

I think your original idea was great and creative. And honestly, if it were me and I was footing most of the bill, I would still go with the idea. The other girl would come around. Has she at least given any input into what type of shower she would like to throw for the bride?

Re: bridal shower help!
thanks. Thats what I really want to do. I really can't figure out what the other girl really wants. She doesn't want the vfw place because she feels its too expensive. Every restaurant I have told her about she doesn't seem to like. The wedding is in June and I wanted to have the shower in April. We are running out of time and I am getting a headache.

If she's shooting down everything you suggest and isn't coming up with something on her own. I would continue with the original plans. If you think the bride will like the idea, THAT'S all that matters.

What about Milk & Sugar Cafe in Bayshore? Heard that place is great for a shower and different. Another great place is Sonoma Grill.

Re: bridal shower help!
This is the thing that annoys me with bridal showers. The bridal shower is about the bride's wishes. If this girl is not considering the bride's taste and wishes, remind her that this is not her shower. It's all about the bride.
Vent over.
