My birth story and pics of Kyle Robert
I haven't been on much since our home computer is down and I'm not allowed on hubby's work laptap too often so here's a quick update.
I was admitted on 1/4 to be induced-I was 38.5 weeks. I had polyhydramnios and some hypertension so they decided to induce.
Pitocin started at 9am and within minutes I was having mild contractions 5 min apart. Around noon I was 2cm and my ob broke my water. Within a half hour my contractions were 1-2 min apart and painful!!!! I waited an hour before asking nicely for my lovely epidural. I was able to rest for a bit and by 2:30 I was 9cm. About 15 min later I felt tremendous pressure "down there" sure I enough I was ready to push. We figured it would be a bit since Jenna took 3 hrs to push out. I started pushing around 2:50 and with 4 pushes!!!!! Kyle was born at 2:58pm. He was 8lbs 2oz, 19 1/2 inches long with lots of dark black hair. Recovery was great-I had no episiotomy, no tearing and felt great. He is breastfeeding well and even sleeps 4 hrs a clip sometimes during the night. Jenna is doing okay-a bit jealous at times but she likes to help me pick out diapers and clothes for him.
