Need some advice

I need some advie, I don't know too much about ovulation...I was on the pill for 4 years to regulate my cycle bc when I was younger it was all over the place.

I came off it a couple of months ago and my period was regular. I was getting my period the beginning of the month, usually around the 4th give or take a few days. This month it didn't come until today (18th).

Why could that be? I went to the gyno and they said it wasn't that bad and it may just be stress..but I'm nervous now for when in the future I want to start to TTC I am going to have a problem.

It could totally be stress! There was a thread around here a few days ago about how there are lots of late O'ers this month - probably down to the holidays!

Were you sick? Did you travel? Were you stressed? These can all be factors! I wouldn't worry unless you see a pattern of inconsistent cycles develop!

Re: Need some advice

Sickness, stress, stuff like that will affect it. Also they say every seven years that your cycle changes. I wouldn't worry till you have more than a fewmonths of it being all over the place.

Good Luck, hope it regulates and was a fluke thing this monthChat Icon

Re: Need some advice

enter them in here: my monthly cycles

It's free to join, and it can tell you how many days each cycle has been, and what your average cycle length is...

It might help you sort things out a little!

Also, like everyone mentioned, stress, travel, and other factors can lead to delayed ovulation and AF.

28 days is just an average. My cycles range from 27-40 days, with the average being 32 days.

Did you enter in your days into the website? Did I get the cycle lengths right?

if you click on "menstrual and fertility calendar" you can enter in the dates on each month, and then the little numbers in the bottom tell you the cycle day. so look at the day before AF and that is how many days that cycle was.

Okay so it seems like your cycles are pretty irregular. This could just be due to coming off of the birth control. It can take 6 months to regulate your cycles. I was never on birth control so I'm not too knowledgeagable about it. You might want to ask your ob/gyn about your irregularity.
