While the time from your AF to your O could change lots, your luteal phase - the time from O to AF - remains pretty constant. So if you know you O'd five days later than you normally did, then you should expect AF five days later too! Except, I hope it's not!

There are lots of factors that can affect your O date - stress, travel, etc, etc. I think the holidays have a pretty big effect even thuogh we dont' even realize it.

I was late 5 days before I tested.

By then it was definately a BFP. Being the weirdo I am, I'd give it a week and then test again. Unless like me you get serious signs like nearly falling over dizzy and tinkling every 2mins. then test that day!!!

as stated above if you ovulated late then af will be late. and in the same line of thinking you wouldn't be getting a BFP yet. You have to think of it in terms of your period is now due 5 days later than normal. So on Friday.

Thanks for the responses! I really feel like she is coming today (such bad cramps right now!!) but I guess I should expect her anytime between now and Friday. I would be more patient if I had not had terrible AF symptoms for well over a week now It is just so annoying that the one month I would like her to be on schedule is the one month she has to be delayed. It is usually insane how predictable she is. I really don't feel as if I have any true pg symptoms, but I know it isn't over until she shows. I would MUCH rather a BFP but I am at 13dpo now....doesn't it usually show by that point? I have taken a lot of hpt's (more than I am about to admit to
!) all with BFNs!
