Q about long, irregular-ish cycles..

So, I am finishing up my first period off the pill. I got my period after 45 days and who knows what will happen on this cycle.

My question is-- on a longer cycle, do you typically ovulate later cause a luteal phase is generally 2 weeks?

Or is that 2 weeks a figure like a menstrual cycle is 28 days-- which we all know is certainly not one size fits all.

Re: Q about long, irregular-ish cycles..

luteal phase is usually 10-16 days, with 14 being the average.

I have a longer cycle (usually 32 days, but has been as short as 27 and as long as 40) and my luteal phase is 15 or 16 days.

Exactly.

My cycles were super long and my Ovulation date was usually around day 20-22 (even when on Clomid).

Re: Q about long, irregular-ish cycles..

thanks girls-- I was planning on starting to use OPKS on CD10 (today), but I really JUST finished my period.

I'll wait a day or two-- I am trying to blanket the entire potential "O period" when using OPKs so I can figure out what happens when in my cycle. I think last month I might have O'd around CD25.
