So they may be inducing me next week and I am freaking out...
I have to go for some testing tomorrow and depending on what my OB and high risk dr come up with I will find out if they are going to induce me or not. Now if they do I will be 37 wks when they do but I am sooooooo scared and totally freaking out that I could have a c-section. I know I should only be worried about my  health which I totally am, I am just a big baby and these things scare me...
Sorry needed to vent....wish me luck...hopefully everything will be ok and I can go into labor on my own.

When and where are you getting induced? i am scheduled for an induction on Thurs at North Shore but i am REALLY hoping to go before then! I am a little over 40 weeks right now. I am also terrified that it will result in a c-section. Try not to worry, whatever happens happens. That is how i am trying to think of it!

It's okay to be nervous and scared. I think anyone would be. But keep in mind that the doctors put your best interest, as well as the baby's in mind.

To give you a little encouragement-I was induced at 38 1/2 weeks and did not need a c-section. Though the cervadil didn't really move things along and I kind of had a stalled labor, once they broke my water, the true active labor was 12 hours and with an epi it was not bad at all. Many women do not need a c section with an induced labor. Though I understand how you feel because I had the exact same fears leading up to my delivery. Good luck

My friend was induced and she didn't have a c-section. I don't think induction necessarily means a c-section. I understand you being scared, I would be to, but like you said - think of your little like you have been... she will be here before you know it!!!!

I was induced - and it did end with a csection (But that's because my baby was HUGE and didn't descend at all.)
I do have to tell you though - if you end up with a section it's really not that bad - I promise! I actually loved mine!

i'm scheduled for induction this sunday atNorth Shore if he's not out by then. i'm be 41weeks! 
kinda funny, i'm looking forward to it and not really scare if i end up with a c-section (maybe cuz i haven't read up on it yet). at this point - i just want the lil sucker out! i'm more afraid of the episiotomy 
don't worry! everything will be fine

Good Luck! I just wanted to say that I had a c-section (it was NOT the result of an induction) and I was terrified, but I have to say that it was pretty nice, for the doctors is a pretty standard procedure and my recovery has really been easy, in fact my recovery has been easier than alot of my friends who had v-births.
So no matter what happens just focus on the prize at the end, your child in your arms. Trust me its so worth it in the end!

why are you being induced?
Well depending on what the bio physical says tomorrow the high risk dr and my ob will decide if the baby is not getting the right blood flow and thats what will determine if I am induced or not.

I just wanted to say that I felt that same way when they told me they wanted to induce me. I was so scared to have a C but in the end, during labor I couldn't care less how they got her out and I had her naturaly anyway. With the help of forcepts .
Try not to stress to much
