Can I have your opinion please?

I have 2 children and i have been TTC with#3 since Aug. I called my OBGYN 2 months ago and he said I am fertile and not to worry. I got preg. right away with my last 2 and he said it's usually not that easy and to just give it time. I asked him if i should buy an OPK and he said no it's a waste of $ because I was already preg.

#1 do you think I should try an OPK?

#2 Is it too late to try an OPK for this month? My first day of my last AF was 12/26.

if you got pg w/ your first 2 right away and wanted to kind of zone in on your fertile days I might go to cvs and pick up a pack of ovulation kits--- but i don't think i'd invest in the expensive monitor that you have to then buy the tests for just yet. HTH.

If it will put your mind at ease go buy some cheap opk's - depending upon your cycle it might be the perfect time to use the opk because you are I assume 10 or 11 days into your cycle

It is definetly not too late. My 1st day of last AF was 12/26 also and I tend to get AF on the 25 day. I just tested and I am "O"!! The OPK are very helpful especially for me because all this is so new to me but I think that they are helpful to anyone TTC.

Don't forget to use mid-afternoon urine when you pee on the OPK stick... not FMU. I would buy one asap if you want to try and use it this cycle. If it's your first time using OPKs you may want to buy the Clearblue easy digital one so- no worries about deciphering dark vs. light lines...once you get a smiley face you know it's time! How long are your cycles usually?

Tha nks for the tip - I didn't know not to use FMU. My cycles are between 25 & 28 days.

ok - so here is the deal. DH said lets try one more month without OPK.

So I guess I will just try and BD a lot till AF is due. Do you guys BD every night or every other night? I heard every other is better because of the sperm count.

yup, you heard right. i would BD every other day, but if you notice EWCM feel free to BD two days in a row to increase your chances - it's just best to keep the BDing about 24 hours apart.
