af late
I need help ladies, Im on BCP called Loestrin 24. I was suppose to get my period on Saturday but she no showed. Im suppose to start my next pill pack tonight, Should i start it with out having a period or should i wait untiil she comes and then start it? I dont know why im late. I usually get my periods on the 1st all the time. I dont know it could be why but i finished the pack im suppose to get it.
Help

Have you take a test? It is possible to get pregnant while on the pill

Your period is probably just late. It happens. Still continue with the pills. Take a test- it can't hurt. If anything, call your doctor tomorrow.

I would test before you start the pills. If you are late you don't need first morning urine. So test. If it is negative then take the pills. Good Luck

You could also call your Dr. if you take a test and it is negative. They will tell you what to do.

When I was on loestrin I never got AF. I went to the Dr. because I thought I was pregnant but my doctor told me that some people never get their AF when on this BCP. I switched to a different one because I just didnt feel comfortable not getting AF for at least a day.

great thanks, im going to wait a week and then start it on Sunday if i get it or not. I took a HPT and it was neg. I think when i took the cold med a week and half ago it throw everything off.

The cold medicine you took was it over the counter or an antibiotic. Antibiotics lower birth control and is one of the reasons alot people get pregnant while on BCP.
Also your period could be off if you didn't take your BCP at the same time every day or if you forgot to take a pill once and took two at the same time.

no it was OTC,i did test and it was neg. Also last mth i did take some at diff times then usuall. So i think with the cold meds and taken them at diff times i throw it off.
