Yeah, it's pretty much mandatory (I guess you could refuse). The 1hour drink isn't terrible- the orange flavor, while I wouldn't voluntarily drink it, tastes like flat orange soda. I've heard if you really can't tolerate it, there's some jellybean thing instead (?).

Yes. I drank the drink a few weeks ago and didnt tell the front desk. So, the doctor was upset with me because I didn't remind the front desk. So, my last visit I didn't drink the drink on purpose because i am 30 weeks already. Well, the nurse and doctor mad eme feel like I robbed a bank and got caught. So, Monday at 31 weeks I still have to take the test and wait 7-10 days for the results.

i did mine 2 weeks ago and it wasnt bad. i got the orange drink they give you 5 minutes to drink it too.

My friend saw a midwife as well and she didn't have to take it either.
BUT I had a case in my last office where the doctor didn't give the patient a glucose test and she ended up having GD and giving birth at 33 weeks and the baby had a lot of problems because of it

The drink I had really wasn't that bad it was just very sweet. You don't have to drink much of it either
