How do you pinpoint when you O
I've been using OPK's and the monitor, and I know it claims that once you detect the LH surge you will O 12-36 hours from that...but do you really ever know when exactly you ovulate and release the egg?? Just curious!

You can't know the exact moment you release an egg unless you are monitored 24/7 with a sonogram. If you want to know if you are ovulating though, you can have your dr. test your progesterone levels midway through your cycle.

I don't think we can "really" know with just the OPKs. I just estimate based on my CM and date of +OPK

I am monitored with sonograms and it is still difficult.I may go for an IUI and have a follicle that is ready to go but doesnt move. The next day it is gone.
But if my IUI on one day is early in the day and my IUI the next day is in the afternoon, I still wont know when it happened - could have feasibly happened on either day. Thats why most of my IUIs have been back to back. I just do my best to guess.

Yep, I meant unless you are getting a sonogram every hour or something like that its pretty much impossible. I read a study about hcg triggers and they gave the women in the study a sono every hour to determine when they were ovulating.
