HELP! Was I/Am I Pregnant?!! [Long!]
Girls, I have a problem. As I posted last week, I got AF on Sunday...3 days early. I was pretty surprised that she came because I really thought this was our month. We BDed sooo much! Anyway, I was shocked that AF came last Sunday and I took a HPT just in case. What I thought was a little weird was that the blood was kind of a brighter red than it usually looks. Sorry TMI. Anyway, I had just gotten off BCP in Sept. so I figured this is how my body is supposed to be.
So, AF lasted till Wed. Pretty short which was fine with me. That day was 14DPO. DH and I BD on Thurs. and then I started bleeding again!  And the blood was really bright red. Now, I have experienced AF coming early if I BD the day before she is supposed to come, but not have her come back! Anyway, I have been bleeding ever since.
Then yesterday, I read that article that one of the ladies here suggested...about when to test and get a BFP. So, I decided to take a HPT early this morning... I used EPT. And I got a very faint positive!  It was hardley noticeable until a little later and DH was like...uhhh that looks positive! 
The problem here is... three fold: 1) I have been bleeding on and off since last Sunday, so that can't be good; 2) TMI- but I thought there was small bits of tissue when I wiped a few times; and 3) The worst of all: since I thought I wasn't PG, I went ahead with a mammogram this past Thursday!!!  It was funny because the tech asked me if I could be pregnant. And I said no because I really thought I wasn't but now...I don't know what the hell is going on!!
Any insight from anyone? Luckily, I have a gyno appt this Monday, 12/3. I had forgotten to get the mammo back in April when he prescribed it for me, so I wanted to squeeze it in [if I wasn't PG.] Now I feel like, I screwed everything up! Any ideas, comments or advice?

How long after taking the HPT did you see the faint positive. It IS possible to get evaporation lines which is why they recommend not relying on results after 10 minutes.
After getting off BCP my period did some wacky things (started, then stopped, then started again) and the blood flow WAS different.
Take another HPT in the morning and I'm sure you'll have your answer.

First, I do not think you screwed anything up. If a pregnancy is going to fail, it will, nothing you do or not do is going to change that. So don't think like that. Next, I would simply have your ob give you a sono to find out what is going on in there. You might have had an early m/c....sometimes the bleeding can be mistaken for AF. Either way, you should speak to your ob. It's good you have an appt....

Thanks girls. I just feel like I screwed up cuz wonder if I was or am pregnant and I took that friggin mammogram!! Ugh! If I am PG, I will have to terminate for sure! I hope that the HPT wasn't positive and it was just long after testing!! I am just sick over this. I cannot wait for Monday at 3:30pm to come! Thank goodness it's only 2 more days.

My friend had a very similar experience about 2 years ago; in her case it was a chemical and that was why she was bleeding and also the faint line

why would you have to terminate? if you ARE pregnant, tell the doctor what happened and let them guide you
i had major surgery when i was pregnant, i just didn't know i was pregnant at the time. the hospital even gave me 2 pregnancy tests the day before! now that i am pregnant and i told my obgyn and surgeon, both said it was too early to have caused any problems and not to worry.
go to the doctor on monday and explain everything. best of luck!!

I definitely am taking another HPT tomorrow and will get to the gyno on Monday. I waited for over a month for this appt...and it came just in time! Thanks for your support!

My SIL found out she was pregnant at the beginning of November, but 5 days before she found out she had an abdominal CT and from all the research we've done, from the CT center and from my friend who is a L&D nurse, tests that early are not harmful. If you had been like, 9, 10 weeks that would be one thing, but so early, it is fine.

'm so sorry you are going through this. The waiting game is terrible! I am sure that you did nothing "wrong". Your body is going to do what it is going to do, regardless. I don't think that mammogram was harmful, if you are pregnant, so early. Did you test this morning?

Thanks for checkin in with me girls. I did take another HPT on Sunday and got a BFN. Then I went to my gyno appt yesterday and he told me that my cervix and everything else looked normal. He did bloodwork to check my thyroid and other levels. He told me that there was very little bleeding when he did my pap, but I continue to have blood when I got to the bathroom. Ahhh well... I guess DH and I will BD this week regardless if I still have blood showing or not. Thanks for all of your support!
