You know while they're at it, they really should put a warning on all SpongeBob Square Pants episodes.

I mean, do you have ANY idea how many germs and bacteria a sponge harbors??

And don't get me started on the evils of square pants...

Re: Earliest Sesame St episodes now deemed not appropriate for toddlers

Chat Icon gotta admit, I never related to those odd 'agrarian scenes'......

but it was complete sacrilege when they made cookie monster declare cookies were a 'sometimes food' Chat Icon give me a freakin' break.

don't get me started on those wierd@ss shows kids watch today...

what the #ell is up with that boohbah show? Fine, I may still be lingering in the early 70's, but to me it's a freakin' acid trip Chat Icon I would NEVER let my kids be induced into that 30 min hallucinagenic trance

teletubbies aren't much better...... Chat Icon

Re: Earliest Sesame St episodes now deemed not appropriate for toddlers

I read this article and it totally all made sense. But honsetly when I was a kid I never thought cookie was a drug addict, or wanted to smoke a pipe because the count did. It was all just fun to me. I have heard them make the connection that my generation made MTV the juggernaut it is because of Sesame Street. Sesame Street had all those " music video " type of video montages. They sang they danced etc…I can see that too.

I am totally buying the old episodes and showing them to my kids. I loved them all !

I agree, a case can be made for any children's program because its made by adults. Adults are not completely unbiased of their judgements.

I think I will get the Sesame Street DVD and watch it with my son. That article didn't convince me to keep him away from Old School Sesame!!!!!
