BF moms - going back to work morning routinue?

I go back the Mon after Thanksgiving and trying to figure out morning routinue. I BF before he goes to bed bu he is not waking up until 7:30-8 or so. I need to be on the road by 6:45. I was thinking slightly rouse him for a quick BF, hit shower and pump while I am drying my hair. I tried it a few days and seems to work but I know you should never wake a sleeping baby but I want time with him before I leave since I won't see him until almost 5 and DH will be dropping him off at the babysitter. What do you ladies do?

Hmmm, I was never lucky enough to have a baby that slept that late, so we always got our morning time. I feed ds at around 5:30 am and pull him over for a "dreamfeed" again at 6:30 (he's usually still asleep) right before I get out of bed -- I try to feed him 2x before I leave b/c I'm only pumping once a day now (he's a year old).

I co-sleep, so all of this works very easily. But I suggest trying the dreamfeed -- don't fully rouse him, but put him to the breast. He'll probably latch on and eat while he's asleep.

Good idea. I know I am blessed that he sleeps that late but that could be now while he knows I am home and going to bed later. UGH!!! Do you pump before you go too?

I would not wake up DS if he is sleepng in the morning so I would pump before I leave usually. However, if he does get up i do feed him for like 10-15 monutes before i leave. He goes right back to sleep after that. I breastfeed him when i come home from work.

My DD slepts till about 7 so we still have time in the morning, since I dont leave tll around 8:30. But I do a dreamfeed around 5-6am so she will stay sleeping while I shower and get ready. We do co-sleep so this is really easy.

I don't pump before I leave. When DS was younger I would try to feed him one more time around 7:45 before I left the house (at that time he was eating at around 2:30am instead of 5:30am). I used to pump 3x at work, but now that he's a year I'm only pumping 1x a day. We're also gradually phasing out feedings, so we're really at a different point now that he's older. Good luck with going back to work!
