Crazy sleep deprived Mom looses it at Dunkin Donuts drive thru
yes, that was me at 4am this morning driving to DD to get coffee with a screaming newborn who didn't want to sleep. I got to the window and realized I didn't have my wallet and just started bawling. I scrounged $1.32 together and the worker told me not to worry about the rest.
Of course now she's been asleep for over an hour.
How horrible is it for me to wish she was older already!!!!

aw, I hear ya...what a nice person to let you take the coffee w/o paying in full!!
I'm sooo sleep deprived too...today we're going to the city to see a show then out to dinner, I just don't know how I'm going to do it. I already bit DH's head off this morning b/c he offered to get me a coffee along w/my egg sandwich at the bagel place and i was too tired, grumpy & lazy to explain to him how I wanted it, so I said "NEVERMIND, I DONT WANT IT!" so he said "decaf, milk?" I said kinda nasty "NO, JUST FORGET IT!!"  Here he is just trying to do right...I'm just so tired !!

The sleep deprivation is so awful and it makes everything seem worse and harder to deal with. I have definitely had those moments when I wish my son was older (he is 9 weeks) just so I can get some sleep. Then I feel guilty for wishing the time away.
It sounds like you are doing a great job managing the challenges of your newly expanded family. Everyone needs a break once in awhile. Do you have anyone who could come over and help while you get some rest?

being sleep deprived is seriously the worst part (i think) of the newborn stage! i know for some it can go beyond the newborn stage too! i truly lost it a few weeks ago myself one night when DH came home- it was pretty bad! i know how you feel! DD is now getting better and so am i! this stage will pass and you'll be getting some extra sleep soon!

at moments like that i think we all wish for them to be older, then when its a good day and there soo cute in our arms we wish for the opposite.. Mommies are just human..and we need our sleep too.

Awww... so sorry you are dealing with this. believe me, i have been there!!! Except, my sleep deprivation lasted until he was 1. It was horrible. There are still nights that i have to drive him around at like 12 midnight to get him to sleep. And he will be 2 in Dec!!! You are only human to wish she was older in those moments, I still wish that too sometimes!!
Hang in there, hopefully your DD will be out of this stage quick and you'll all be resting soundly ...
