Would you be insulted

if someone told you "it doesn't even look like your pregnant" Even though you used to be a size 8 and now can't even fit into size 12 and can only fit into maternity clothes?

I was so upset when I was told this and said something to DH and he said - "well, you aren't showing that much". I just freaked out that I must look like a fat hog then b/c I don't fit into any of my normal clothes.

i think everyone goes thru that stage (i know i did) where i felt so big, but no one really was sure if i was pregnant or not. don't worry, im sure you look great!

People are just rude and oblivious. Don't let it get to you. Just take care of yourself and the little peanut growing inside of you.

People say it to me all the time even though I feel huge. Sometimes it bothers me and sometimes I don't mind it. My boss actually told me the other day that she forgets I am PG and was just thinking I gained weight. Isn't that kind? Do your best to try and to take it to mean you look great and pregnancy agrees with you!

I wouldn't be insulted. I know you feel fat, but you're not. If anything it's a compliment. Soon it will be obvious. I remember that stage and it is very awkward.

I wouldn't be upset, because the truth is in the beginning - and sometimes for a while - you really DON'T look pregnant, and generally it's not meant as an insult. YOU know you're bigger than your normal self, but if you're only trying to squeeze into a size 12 then you're actually an average size for (not pregnant) women overall.

I thought for sure I looked pregnant way back in the beginning, until a woman in my office who isn't pregnant got on the elevator with me and I saw she had a rounder belly than I did.

Don't worry, you will look pregnant soon enough, and then you'll get the really obnoxious comments (you must be due any day? no, I still have 3 months left, thanks).

Many people told me that too, and I got a little upset bc I felt so FAT and thought the same thing you did. I got over it though bc now I really am showing and realize that at that time, although I felt huge, I was nothing compared to what I am now at 26 weeks!

I get it too. I am in my 5th months and I get looks. I got the same comment the other day from a customer in the maternity store.

Yeah, people said that to me also until I was somewhere between 5 and 6 months. That's when I started to really show--looking back at belly pics, while I can see I was gaining a belly, to anyone else I probably just looked like well, I was gaining weight.

I get that all the time too. I was heavy to begin with though, so even though I put on some weight, I still don't look pg. It's just in the past week (I am 27 weeks), that my stomach is starting to round out a little.

I constantly get comments from the ladies in my office that I don't look pg and when are they going to start to see the baby. I just shrug it off. Eventually I'll start to show and it'll be great.

dont worry about it...im 30wks and if im wearing certain tops some ppl still dont know if im preg...just think im fat...i was also a size 8 beforehand...ive gotten lots of comments lately that im not very big and then a nasty look...it hurts but there isnt a whole lot you can do I guess...

No I wouldn't be insulted, I got that till I was about 5 months.

I think what people expect is for you to look pregnant immediately and you look basically the same.

I wouldn't take it as people think you're just fat, take it as a COMPLIMENT that you aren't a house!!!!
