1 hour glucose test
I just took this test - but had eaten a small bowl of Go Lean cereal about an hour prior.
Do you think that will impact the results??
eta - i was told not to fast

Look on the box and see how many carbs and sugars it has.. if alot then it could have an impact on results.

i was told not to fast but i did anyway...the lab said u misy fast so im not sure what the proper thing to do is...

as long as it doesn't have a crazy amount of sugar in it, you should be fine. the only thing I wasn't allowed to have for breakfast was any sweetened cereal.

I had a chocolate chip cookie and a glass of orange juice about a half hour before the test and i still passed. i dont think it will impact it!

My mother has diabetes, and her fasting blood sugar level is always higher than her level after she eats something in the morning.
I don't really know what is the right thing to do, fast or not, but if your doctor told you not to bother, it's probably fine.
