We are on a close schedule!
I am up... probably 15 pounds so far. And I was chubby to begin with, so I am just miserable!

When are you due? I'm due March 24th. I didn't expect to gain more than a pound or 2 this time...lol...so I was in shock. And then the nurse had the b*lls to say "they recommend you gain 25 pounds during the pregnancy"!! HA HA yeah right...that's not even close to happening. Would have been nice but not a chance...lol.

Re: Had my 17 week appointment...

I'm right on track with you . . .at my 20 week app't., I was up 18 lbs. Chat Icon But the dr. didn't say anything to me about it (i.e. that I'm gaining too much or anything), so I'm not gonna stress it. In my distorted reality, if I gain alot in the beginning, I'll plateau towards the end! Chat Icon There's only so much room for the food to go!Chat Icon

Don't worry about it too much. I gained a lot at some visits, and not much at others, so in the end, it all seems to have evened out.

Most women I've spoken to gain around 40 pounds, and there are several I know who have gained more. Most of them lost all or most of the weight afterwards.

As long as you aren't eating way too much food, and you try to get some sort of light exercise in, you should be fine.

So I guess it seems to be the norm then. My doctor didn't say anything either...just the nurse. I think i'm more Chat Icon over the fact that i can't really fit into anything anymore and the maternity pants I bought fit for about the first 1/2 hour I wear them...then look about 10 sizes to big.

LOL at 25 pounds. I wish. I had expected about 40, considering a good portion is placenta, and baby, etc. I plan to bust my asss after the baby to lose it-PLUS the 15 I put on after my wedding that was already there.

That's why is pays to be fat...

...and I'm speaking from personal experience...haven't gained an ounce, but I wish I was at a healthier weight from the beginning.

Don't worry about a thing. If the dr doesn't tell you to slow down the weight gain, then you have nothing to worry about.

I agree!! I am a bigger girl, just went to the doctory today, I lost another 4 lbs. Seriously, if I was working out, I couldn't have lost the total of 5lbs I have in these last few months. Chat Icon

I'm not really concerned...I was just a little Chat Icon Chat Icon when she told me. I was eating 24/7 the first 3 months and I gained 6 pounds each the 2nd and 3rd...now i'm eating normal since I dont have MS anymore so I didn't think I really gained any.

I'm glad to see i'm right on track with everyone else though...that makes me feel goodChat Icon Chat Icon

I don't think i'll lose it all afterwards. I'll try my best but the older you get the harder it is to lose.
