You can definitely take Tums, but be careful - they can make constipation issues worse.

dont take too many . i know tons of women who eneded up with kidney stones becuase of them. and growing up i had to take them for growing pains and ended up with kidney stones 4 times. with the last pregnancy i think i took 4 tums with the whole pregnancy and with this one so far none.
