When did you ask the godparents to be the godparents?
I don't know when to ask them.

I don't think I asked DD#1's godparents until she was born!  I asked DD#2's godmother on the cell phone driving home from my first appt.  The godfather we did not ask until weeks before the birth.
DH and I were just asked to be godparents to our new niece arriving in December when BIL and SIL found out the sex in July.

We havent asked yet.
But I have 3 god children
#1 I was asked at the hospital the day he was born
#2 I was asked about 4 weeks after she was born, it was really cute, SIL and I were alone with the baby and my SIL said to the baby "go ahead you ask her" (I thought she was losing it" and then my SIL said, Okay Lisa would like you to be her godmother.
#3 I was asked probably in the first or second trimester.

I asked her godparents when I found out the sex of the baby. I asked each of them if they would like to see a picture of their goddaughter

This is how I know i am pg b/c i just got chocked up and tears came to my eyes when I read that.
