DH at OB appt
Did your DH accompany you to the appts?
Was he there during internal exams?
How did the two of you handle it?

He came to some not all. (basically all the ones with sonos) Yes he was there for internals. He seemed to handle it just fine.

He's come to a bunch of them randomly, not necessarily big appts. He was there for my first internal. He was sitting up by head anyway but I figure he's going to have to deal with a lot worse than an internal so he may as well get used to it now

DH only came to the level II and my growth scans (which were every 3 weeks beginning a little after 20 weeks).
I would always have my appts either in the morning or mid afternoon and had twice as many appts due to high BP

Thanks ladies.
I don't expect DH to come to every appt, but he does plan to come to my next appt (at 10 weeks) because we will have our first sonogram.
I don't know if there will be an internal exam at this appt, so I was just curious to know if your DHs displayed any discomfort about being present during your pelvic exam.

He came for the sonograms. I didnt want him to take off half days of work to come to every appt since they are pretty uneventful.

Dh has only come to the appts that I have sonos. He was kind of disappointed that at my 10 week exam the dr was able to hear the heartbeat and he didn't get to hear it. He was supposed to come to my last appt, but the dr had an emergency and they gave me an earlier appt with the NP so he couldn't make it. He was a little uncomfortable when I told him the 1st sono was an internal one, but he was fine once he got there.

DH came to all of them so far. But I should add I make the first appointment at 7:30 in the morning and then we commute into the city together.

He insists on coming to every appt, and so far I have had 4, and he has been to every one. I think its sweet he wants to be so involved, and hes generally well behaved

My DH plans on coming to every appointment. I told him it's not necessary to come to the boring pee in a cup ones but he really wants to be there - I think mostly to get out of work for the afternoon. 
He doesnt have to use vacation or personal time to come with me. If he did, then I'm sure he wouldnt come to every one.

DH has only missed one routine office visit, everything else, even blood work, he has been there for.
Considering he's seen or done all the exams, at his work, he is fine.
I asked him if he was ok with seeing me examined and he's absolutely fine.

With DD he came to 98% of the appointments. Ironically he wasn't there for my internal or when I was having early labor (he was OOT on business). For this pregnancy he has been to none only my hospital stays.

Mine was there for the first couple of internal sonograms - I think he was surprised at first and afterwards asked if it hurt - which it didn't. He's never been there for a full pelvic exam.
He then came to hear the heartbeat the first time.
He comes only for the sonos now. But I always tell him about the heart beat when I hear it.

DH has seen me through worse! I have endometriosis, he has seen me get internals at the ER a few times. Then I had a MC and he was there in the ER with me and then throughout the next few days in the hospital they'd come in and do internals in the room. So, now that we're preggo again, these are nothing. He sits up by my head and the cloth over my legs covers most of everything. This week I had an internal ultrasound and he was there.

DH has come to all of the appt's so far, but I told him there's no need to come to the routine office visits going forward. I think he still wants to come (for now at least).

My hubby comes to them all, i go every 2 weeks and we get a sono so its a lot of fun for the both of us....but he also works near the dr office
