How much is to much weight to have gained...
at 20 weeks.... I gained a total of 14 pounds so far and although I look like I gained nothing I feel like a pig. I know everyone gains weight differently but I just feel like thats alot and I dont want it to effect anything.
Please ease my mind....

everyone gains weight differently, and, if you were under-weight than you would gain even more weight than normal. I struggle with this myself, though, so I know how you feel. I am now 29 weeks and gained 30 lbs.

at 32 weeks i've gained about 25 lbs. i agree with the PP, everyone gains differently.

I'm almost 32 weeks and I've gained 22 lbs.
What's weird is I gain during the week, and then I lose on the weekends.

I am 22 weeks and have gained 10lbs. Everyone is different and if you Dr isn't concerned, I wouldn't worry about it.

i hear you with the concerns about weight...i have the opposite concern...ive only gained like 4 lbs and I am 25wks 3 days...my docs dont seem to care...i was not even close to overweight beforehand...my doc said I am very healthy person and has not commented on it so im going with it!

I just went to my doctor on Friday (22 weeks) and he said that I should have gained about 14 pounds or so by now...so I think you're right on target.
I, on the other hand, am going to be HUUUUUUUGE by the time I give birth because I just suddenly put on a ton of weight and I don't know how or why.

I have been avoiding the scale but I weighed myself this morning and I am almost 19 weeks and have gained about 13 lbs.

As of 18 weeks I had gained 7lbs...I have my 22 week appt tonight so I'll see how much more I gained.

I don't remember what I gained at 20 weeks, but it was probably around 15-16 lbs. I gained a lot in the first trimester, then less for most of the 2nd.
Everyone is different, and if your doctor isn't telling you you are gaining too much, I wouldn't worry about it.

Weight gain is so weird during pregnancy. I think the most important thing is what your MD says. The books say 1 pound per week in the 2nd & 3rd trimester right?? Well, in the last 6 weeks of my second trimester I gained half that - only 3 pounds, but now in the first two weeks of my 3rd trimester I gained double - 4 pounds!! I saw my MD yesterday and he said my weight gain is excellent.

I was the same, but in reverse trimesters. Gained almost nothing until 12 weeks then gained alot in the next 8 weeks. I have stopped lookign at the #.
I figure until my Dr says something, I am just going to remember its all for a good reason!
