WHY won't my 11.5 wk old eat more than 4 oz???
OMG...during the day he'll eat as little as every 2 hours......a 4 oz bottle and most of the time he leaves 1 oz over....

My DS didn't eat more than 4oz until he was 18 weeks old...and he STILL sometimes just takes 4oz (like just before)

Lily has just started eating more than 4 ounces at a time regularly - and she's a few weeks older than your son.
Don't let it stress you out - just go with it!

DS is 10.5 weeks and only eats 4 oz bottles.
How much oz per day does your DC eat?
ETA: some babies eats 6 oz every 4 times a day. That's the same as 4 oz 6 times a day.

Miranda almost never drank more than 4oz. He just may not be a big eater.

I cant remember where I read it but if I remember correctly most babies at this stage wont increase the amount they eat until 6 months old...

Their tummies have to stretch! DS is 14 weeks and just now moved up to 4oz. Don't worry about it. As long as s/he's gaining weight, they're fine!

How often does he eat? That will make the difference?
Noah eats 6 to 7 oz's in a bottle BUT he only has 4 bottles a day...so they are probably eating the same amount or close to it.

My   did the same... 4 oz or less every two hours before they got on a regular nap schedule.
Unfortunately, it made going anywhere during that time virtually impossible but they were going through a growth spurt and needed to eat frequently.
Ped said it's normal for them to cluster feed at that age.

also-what kind of nap schedule is he on? That will increase his eating as he takes longer naps?
Noah cant eat every 2-3 hours because he eats, then about an hour and a half from when he eats is nap time for 1-2 and 1/2 hours, so its always at least 3 more like 4 and 1/2 hours between feedings.
Have you tried establishing naps? I read both the baby whisperer abd teh health sleep habits and followed the advice and it worked pretty fast.
