How long after baby did you wait for sex?
I won't lie. I want sex. I had my baby 2 1/2 weeks ago, by c-section. I have had a tough recovery because I had a bad reaction to my delivery, but I want sex. How long did you wait? And does it matter how you delivered? TIA!!!!

I had a c-section. Dr. said NO SEX for 6 weeks. I had an "abnormal" amount of bleeding of my uterus during my c-section so.... I had to be "good" to make sure I was healing.

just shy of 6 weeks.
Honestly I would wait at least 4-5 weeks at a bare minimum, the risk of infection is TOO high and then you will really be out of it and not having any for a long time. Why take that chance?
Theres things you can do besides actual intercourse

my midwife told me that as long as the bleeding had stopped, you could do it.

true!! as long as ur feeling good, go ahead!!! :)
kudos to you and what a lucky DH u have......DD is 14 months and im just now getting the desire back....!!! a lot has to do with BFing (hormones and stuff), and the rest, well, darn, i am just too tired sometimes!
and by sometimes, i mean, all the time......!!!!!!!

my son just turned 5 weeks yesterday and we still havent made an attempt. I go to the Dr on the 14th...im really not in the mood yet anyway.

7 weeks, vaginal, i wanted to do it sooner but i had an episiotomy and they also had to cut and sew up inside my vajayjay
and when i went for my 6 week appt, turns out that the healing that went on inside wasnt how it should have been! we got the OK for sex but i was so nervous b/c my OB said it was going to hurt, but I sucked it up and it turns out everything was OK LOL

we were told no BD from the time i was 32 weeks...that was 6 weeks before DS was born...now he is 3.5 weeks and DH is ready to die!!!!
Dr told me to wait 6 weeks though and i wont attemp to before that...so we are looking at a total of 12 weeks

Depends upon the level of recovery..
All of my births were vaginal without pain meds...
1st time around I bled for weeks and wound up needing a D&C..so it was a couple of months..
2nd time we were dealing with a stressful situation with the baby so it was a couple of months...
3rd time it was 2 weeks exactly...
4th time...Im not so patiently waiting to be completely healed..just when I think Im good BANG "aunt flow" comes back again..then again DS is 2 weeks today!!!!

I had a C-section and I think I waited almost 8 weeks, but just b/c I had no desire. I was still bleeding until then too. I would wait a bit...2.5 weeks is a little too soon.
