Uggh I am so grossed out I could vomit...UPDATE
I bought a gallon of milk today and DS just woke up from his nap so here I am about to prepare a bottle for him. So I open up the container of milk and there is this moldy clump on top...ewwwww I wanted to vomit. I checked the expiration date and it said Aug 25th so I don't understand why that mold was there. Thank God my mom lives next door and she had milk to lend me. I have the receipt and I plan on returning it and getting a refund. I am never getting milk from this store ever again...

I had the same thing happen last week - only sour no mold...I didnt realise but gave DD some in her cup and the poor things face ...the expiration wasnt until october!!
I threw it out and then realised I should have taken it back.

I bought some milk at Target the other day-- it wasn't sour, but it tasted like metal-- I was freaked out. I called the store, but I don't think they cared.

A similar thing happened to me w few weeks ago. I bought a dairy product in a local Deli, checked the exp. date like I always do, but when I opened it at home it was moldy on top. I brought it back and got a refund. I am thining it has somethign to do with the way they store it. May be it was left out of the cooler for to long...

So I went back to the store and they don't do refunds... It's one of those 99cent stores. And no the milk was not 99 cents. The store is down the block so that's why I went there and I have purchased milk from them before and it was fine. Anyways I was unable to get a refund, only a store exchange so I got some picture frames because I told them that I did not want another container of milk...

One way to check next time is if the container looks swollen..it's a sure sign of spoiled milk.
We had this happen several times from a local deli, even though the expiration date was fine.
They are prob unloading them from a truck and not refrigerating immediately. They definitely should have done a refund, thats awful :(

I just got bad milk at dairy barn the other night. DH went and got a gallon of milk - the date was good but after I opened it, I could not give it to DS to drink - smell was so gross!!!

This happened to me recently also!
The date was fine, I had just opened it and when I went to pour it, CHUNKS came out! GROSS! Whats going on???
