DH does a very good job of dressing himself etc, he just doesnt cook or clean, however he doesnt rely on me for food
sounds like us
my DH was told boys don't clean by his mother- so I am screwed

I feel the same way sometimes reading posts here & talking to friends.
My DH is home more than me so he grocery shops, cooks, does laundry, pays bills, & although not a clean freak, cleans as much as I do.
This week, he started making the bed before I get home from work, because I did it once & he saw it made me happy to come home to a made bed!

My DH does the majority of the household work. I'm a spoiled brat and sometimes feel bad about it, but I'm trying to do more to pitch in.

Nope. My husband likes to cook and cooks most of the time actually. He also is home a lot earlier than I am so he has that luxury. I like to cook on the weekends when I have time.
As for cleaning, this summer has been the first time he's actually cleaned and done laundry besides the general straightening up like taking the newspapers out and breaking down boxes, etc.

i have to say- i'm lucky- vinny is pretty darn good like that. yeah, he leaves his socks around sometimes but besides that he is very considerate and helps out A LOT. he picks up after himself 99% of the time and cooks for me pretty often. we work together- it's definitely a 50/50 deal and i love that about us.
more than anything else- he is there for me when i need him. he never EVER complains about going shopping or coming somewhere with me. he doesn't obsess over sports and can't leave the house when a game is on-- during our entire engagement he came to every single bridal show and event WILLINGLY and WANTED to be there- he is absolutely wonderful and i'm happy to say i'm aware of how wonderful he is. i don't take it for granted one bit.

Rob cleans and generally takes care of himself.
But for him, the kitchen is the Land of No.
He does not cook.
But he's still a keeper.

DH does the typical things. He cooks (I don't, I bake instead) and we both clean but do different things.
We also have a deal during football season. In exchange for doing all the laundry, he gets to watch as much football as he wants. 
But... Give him something he's never done before and it's either explicit instruction time or I just do it myself.

Mine doesn't cook, but he does most of the rest of the stuff w/out being told.
And if I ask him to do something, he usually does it right away.

MY DH is obsessive when it comes to cleaning, he will always help with laundry and I would never ask him to cook in fear it wouldn't be editable.

Mine does most of the cooking and dishes and we have a housekeeper once a week to do the major stuff.
We straighten up together and I do the laundry.
