Re: 2008 election
Not sure... who is a democrat?
ETA: Just did a little research on Hillary and Obama. I don't really see a difference between their stands but I would vote for either of them. My stance is always more liberal but I feel if I vote independent I am taking a vote away from the Democrates and giving it to the Republicans.

Re: 2008 election
I think it's telling that Guiliani's kids are estranged from him- that bothers me. I also never buy the nice and shiny candidate kids (ie Al Gore's little potheads back in 92) in their photo ops, but when your own kids think you're an azzhole...
As for the others- I really like Dennis Kucinich- but I don't think he'll get too far. People in this country are still too focused on looks and he looks like an elf.
Right now, I'd like to see a Clinton/Richardson ticket- and I think Richardson will get her the Latino vote. I think Obama will be great, but not just yet. And I don't think Hillary will pick him, because I don't think the country is ready for a woman P and African American VP (I think it would be great, but I don't know about Middle America)

Re: 2008 election
No way for Rudy! I think it would be scary having him in the White House--he is a bully and a hot head. Can you see him and people like the ruler of Iran going head to head? He also gets too much credit for 9-11 IMO--most of the immediate credit for keeping the city running should go to the firefighters, police, and other volunteers. Bloomberg kept the city from falling into financial ruin after 9-11, but that's another story (he would have my vote a lot sooner)!
I'm not wild about Hilary, but she would have to be my pick. Plus, I liked Bill, and I think they are a package deal. Obama is too inexperienced.

I'm voting based on where the candidates stand on key issues. I want to see us out of Iraq and with universal health care.

I don't know yet...I am waiting to see who makes it past the primaries.
There is no Democratic candidate that I love, and that scares me alot.

Re: 2008 election
i don't like any of them....
and i don't like any of the republicans either...
this country is going to s h i t ! as long as you have moeny, you can run for President. none of them are passionate about anything... they only support the issues that give them the most money. it's soooo corrupt....
i will vote as i always do, but i have no idea who yet.... i am not usually happy with anyone on the ticket, but as a citizen in this country, i have to vote as it is my duty as a citizen... too bad there never seesm to be any candidates worth voting for.

Re: 2008 election
I will let you know after I read Obama's book that I just bought.
But if I had to pick this moment, I'd say Guliani bc I was impressed by his leadership during 9/11.

Hillary and Obama aren't both going to make it past the primaries and into the general election except as running mates.
I think they should do this
Guliani's own daughter is backing Obama- I know she is only 17- but what a PR nightmare for him!
she's probably still mad at him for leaving her mom.
Eh, I try not to let random 17 year olds I don't know influence my vote.
I figure his own kids know him better than I do, and they all hate him.
I was thinking the same thing...

Obama would be my first choice followed by Hillary and last would be Giuliani. I'm not a new yorker so I don't know much about Giuliani.

Re: 2008 election
I would have a hard time voting for any of the listed three. Watching Rudy in action as Mayor was enough for me. He's not quite the "savior" he's portrayed as. Obama doesn't have nearly enough experience. As for Hillary, I just can't stand her. The only redeeming quality she has is that she is married to Bill. I love him. I wish he could run again. I like John Edwards and am hoping that he will run on the Independent ticket. If not, I don't know who I will vote for.
