I pulled all my photos off recently. I don't like that other people can copy them and stuff...mainly b/c normal people save a photo for a good reason--copy someone's hair/they like your dress, etc.
Recently, someone on another website took a wedding photo of mine and posted it somewhere and said I was basically not very pretty. I got my little feelings hurt. I didn't want something like that to happen again. I shouldn't care what a stranger thinks, but it really got me down. (but what the heck...i will post a shot of my hair soon anyway; i have to get over it) and you feel your prettiest at your wedding day; the fact that someone did that and started a whole thread about how NOT pretty I am was like...really mean.

thanks. i don't want this thread to turn into people commenting on my issue, but THANK YOU! :) but that's why I've recently taken things down. it stung like a beyotch. they even took pics of my DH. it was all very negative.

OMG! Thats just mean!! The loser who started it probably looked like she was whacked in the face with a frying pan! You are beautiful.

I dont post any pics because I am a very private person. Plus this is a public forum and I am really dont want to be easily tracked down. Also, I have been a victim on this board and LIW by another member where she very verbally abused me and wrote many nasty lies about me and family. She just did not know I knew about these boards and never figured she would get caught. The funny thing is when she was confronted about it, it was all my fault. So, I would rather her not know who I am. 
I guess I figure it is alway wise to be safe than sorry.

I don't post pics of myself or DH for privacy reasons. Really, that's it. I really don't want pictures plastered all over the internet in public forums. Maybe that's me being a little paranoid, but that's it. I don't think everyone should have to display names and pictures if they do not feel comfortable with it.

I don't post names or pics because you just never know what kind of creepy and evil people there are out there. Its not even other family members snooping that I care about - its the weirdos.
But I'm real - frankly I have a hard enough time trying to keep my own life straight - I don;t think I would have the time or the imagination to think up a new one

ITA!! A couple of weeks ago, I started a thread how I was sad because my husband had just left for a 8 day biz trip to Korea. Within a couple of minutes of posting it, I FM'd Ron to remove it because I realized I shouldn't make it public that I was alone for 8 days.

I did on LIW, but for some reason I don't feel as comfortable doing it here. Don't know why since I don't even live in NY anymore. Maybe I will someday.

I posted wedding pics on LIW without a problem, but as a teacher - I feel like we discuss more "intimate" issues here - and I don't want my students to put two and two together, although I do occasionally post pics here too.
