Won't sit still for diaper changes at 8 1/2 months?

Anyone else going through this? It seems like she can't be bothered to sit still for ANYTHING lately. I almost just got poop all over me as she was crawling away . Toys don't even work as distractions anymore.

It does not get any better my DS just turned 1 and he turns and tries to get off the bed, it makes changing time so fustrating. In the beginning I would hand him a clean diaper to play with or a toy but NOW nothing works... Good luck if you get any ideas pass them on!!

I have to actually physically restraing DS to the point where its ridiculous. I don't know why they do this!!! He screams the whole time. Toys used to work but nope, not now. I HATE changing him.

I find that we have to change the toy we give Jack all the time. It has to be something "new" that he doesn't play with outside of changing him and it really helps if it talks/makes noise. DH gives him his cell phone. I did this once until he chucked it across the room

DD does this too. It is so frustrating!!

It definitely is a major problem for us!!!! DD put her foot in her poop the other day ! She is too much of a wiggle worm!!!!!! I think we could make good use of a straight jacket here.

We are going through the same thing! I wipe him REALLY quickly then I can at least put the diaper on while he is crawling or standing. I also dress him while he's standing.

Yeah this is our situation now too ... DS used to LOVE his diaper changes, now he screams and wiggles and runs away from me (well crawls )

I don't even use the changing table anymore, he just won't have it

Sorry to say it doesn't get any better BUT, I've gotten better at doing it faster

We've given her anything to keep her still, diapers, wipes, washcloths, diaper creme, books, remote control, phone..

Now at 15 months her fav thing to do and the only thing that keeps her still is giving her a book to read while we change her.

My DD is 7 months and she won't stay still. She constantly tries to roll over and crawl away. I try to give her toys, tickle her belly and nothing works. I totally feel your pain!

I dread diaper changes now! I break into a sweat ever time. It's like an olympic event.
