No, because mother-daughter night at our school was in 6th grade and I got it in 4th grade. I thought I was going to have it forever and things would always be different now

Yup. I was a late developer- I blame it on being so skinny. I didn't get it until I was almost 14 then it didn't come back for months. I was so excited when I finally got it.

I remember I thought I had stomach pains & thought I just had to go to the bathroom. I looked down at my panties & was shocked. I called my mother. Who looked equally shocked when I told her I go my period.
Same here!
I felt so sick the night before and earlier that day.
TMI - I thought it might be my period, but wasn't sure because it was brownish and not red like I was expecting. I also didn't know I woul dget horrible cramps.
My mom was crying and I heard her calling my grandmother to tell her while I was in the bathroom puttin gmy pad on  She told everybody and I was so embarassed.

yup i knew what happened....i had the teen always collecting dust in my bedroom closet too bad i couldnt use them and had to throw them out bc they were hmmmm how do i put this inadequately sized

yes. It was horrific. I was cheerleading wearing white shorts. I had to put my pom poms in the back of my shorts.

It was after school and I remember having slight cramps. I went into the bathroom, and saw a little blood. I knew what it was right away and went and told my mom. I was so upset!!! I was still so much a kid at 11, I didn't want that resposibility.
Plus, it was hard running around in 5th grade gym class, with a huge pad.
