final question of the day promise! starting utilities in new home
we are moving to a new area that doesnt have our present utilities so we can't transfer from one house to another... what is protocol to start these up in our name
do i just call and say hi im moving please give me power?
this is my first time ever having to do this help! haha

I called the untilites and told them I would be the new owner of the house on such and such date....they changed over the service to my name on that day.

I did the same, giving them the day of the closing (the sellers were moved out). The water was arranged by our town, and for that, I had to wait until the seller's scheduled a final reading. When they did, everything was transferred to us.
