No, I don't. But take a look at a few artists like Jay-Z and Beyonce. All I see is them on vacation after vacation...going on yachts, drinking cristal like it's water and living the good life. It doesn't take a genius to see that they're well off.

I'm not saying it's right EITHER...but if some people do it...then whatever they do it.

Many musicians make a lot of thier money doing touring and appearances.
In the two specific cases you mention Beyonce also makes money with acting. modeling, and I think she makes clothes with her mom. Jay-Z makes a lot of his money as the President of Def Jam & Roc A Fella as well as being part owner of the basketball team the nets.
People can do what they want I just like to let people know what they are doing and whom it is affecting...it doesn't JUST affect the huge name it also affects (crap is it effects? put in whichever one is right) the guy making 5.50 an hour as an intern or gopher

Re: Downloading music

Wow, I wasn't trying to start a debate I just want to know where to get some music! I am more than willing to pay for it too, as I did pay for napster but paying $70+ to fill my mp3 player on top of 9.95 a month seems insane!, that's all. Thank you Chat Icon

Re: Downloading music

Jay-Z and Beyonce were just examples because they're practically plastered all over the celeb board going on lavish vacations.

They used to be JUST musicians...so they've branched off and did other things to become millionaires. I don't give a crap what they do and how they've had it so bad. If I want to hear Irreplaceable or Brush your shoulder off and don't feel like buying the whole damn album, then I'm not. Most of the other songs s*ck anyway.

I'm going to hell anyway...might as well download music...Chat Icon

That last part was a joke...Chat Icon

now had you posted about dogs downloading music in restaurants, while parents at the next table refused to take their crying child outside, then we'd be in a FINE mess.

Especially, if the parents were sitting next to Paris Hilton, who just got Japanese Hair Straightening at the Yankee game, while re-financing her home.

Re: Downloading music

Walmart legal downloads for 88 cents

Walmart has downloads for 88 cents each. I don't like downloading from Limewire and the like because I've gotten way too many viruses and trojan horses that way.

MP3Rocket server scans for viruses

I have tons of tools to prevent viruses, and get rid of anything that slips through, but it's a pain in the a$$ to have to deal with those few nasty ones that get past everything (and there are plenty that can get past any kind of protection).

All you need is one virus or trojan that corrupts a few files, and takes days to clean, and any money you may have saved goes out the window.

(I am definitely not passing judgment on anyone using LimeWire, since I've spent a few years doing it myself, it's just that at this point, I've been burned a few times, and it's no longer worth it for me.)

I always find it funny when people post about doing things they know are illegal on a public site....
