The "trying" to crawl stage...

So DD can now get from sitting to her belly into a crawl position. She can pull herself in circles, tends to go backwards alot and is starting to rock.

She gets SOOOO frustrated now because she can't get where she wants to go. How long do you think it will take her to get the crawling going?

I miss the nice sit up and play with my toys...now she's alll overChat Icon Chat Icon

I all depends, hard to say how long it will last. They do tend to go backwards first though! enjoy the peaceful time, once they crawl and walk, they get into everything!

Luca struggled for about a week or two before he finally figured out how to go forward. And now he's non-stop! He's actually now working on walking. Chat Icon

Lily's been "scooching" backwards for 2 weeks now. I'm starting to wonder if she'll ever figure out how to go forward. I put toys in front of her just out of her reach and she tries to reach them, but so far she either goes in circles or backwards. I'm sure she'll figure it out eventually.

Sounds like she's getting ready. Bella started to rock two weeks ago and two days ago she started crawling. She went backward first, about a week ago. Go Hannah!!!!It'll be soon!Chat Icon

It sounds like it'll be very soon!

My DD is a little bit younger than yours. She just got the sitting thing down two weeks ago and now she's scooting on her belly all over the floor. I swear, there's something new every day at this age!
