my whole neighborhood is under water
I woke Jake up to move his car into my spot
but then I had to come back home and trying to cross a bridge for 30 minutes- everything is closed!
I couldn't get my SUV back into the parking lot- and it's still pouring in Queens
I am going to try to go to work again in an hour

DH just called, he left an hoiur and a half ago for work and still said he has 20 minutes. He said he has never seen flooding in Garden City..firemen are rescuing people from their cars, which are trapped in water.
It lightened up in Lindenhurst..had a few flickers of lights. I am just hoping the canal does not overflow...I really don't feel like going out to move my car.

I'm at work and the phone just crackled along with the thunder...I basically hung up on DH! I am SCARED!!!!!! Took me a long to get from Smithtown to E. Setauket!

Yup - a little before you posted I was on the train sleeping. I woke up and couldn't remember if I was going to work or coming home because it was so dark out.
We just had thunder ripple through in Manhattan.

It is over in Syosset but I have NEVER seen my street so flooded where it is up to the sidewalk.. Cars are stuck on the street at the moment..
If you are driving please be careful!!!
