Madison Square Garden?

I just got tix to Dave Matthews Chat Icon Chat Icon but the seats are BEHIND the stage... does that mean I'll be looking at a blank wall? how does it work?

Thanks so much for any input!!

Re: Has anyone ever seen a concert at

Im going to the DMB concert there too!! on 12-10...what night did you get??

I have been there ( to see dave as a matter of fact) and its not too bad.

To be honest I do not remember if there is a screen that faces the back of the stage or not. I am 99% sure that there is. They have like 3 large screens set up.

I think you'll have a blast regardless. Not like you can see unless your in the 1st row anyhow ya know?

I got tix for Friday 12/9! I am so excited!!! I had tix this summer but my friend LOST the tix and then went on vacation, so he never tried to get Ticketmaster to send them again or anything, so we missed it this summer!

We're right behind the stage, row a, but I think the second section back (mezzanine?).

I have seen Dave now at Continental Arena (a million miles away from the stage) and in Camden NJ (pretty close, but the venue is pretty small so it didn't really matter)... I can't wait to see him again!!!!!!!!

I saw Prince there last year and the stage was in the middle. He was all over the place so I don't think seats behind the stage would have been a negative.

we had seats behind the stage. All it means is that youll be looking at their backs. Not sure what happens if they put up a screen, though

Re: Has anyone ever seen a concert at

Usually they only sell seats behind the stage if you will be able to see what's going on. Concert setup changes from show to show. I was just at the Elton John concert and they did not sell the seats behind the stage because of the screen. However, I have been to shows where I have sat behind the stage and had a pretty good view of everything.

Re: Has anyone ever seen a concert at

It depends on how each performer sets up the stage. I went to see Tim McGraw there and sat in back of the stage. They were awesome seats because he came around and sang to everyone in the back. They didn't sell the first 10 rows, because you couldn't see the front of the stage from that low. We moved up there and each time he came around, he was standing right in front of us. Of course, we thought he was singing to only us Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: Has anyone ever seen a concert at

I've seen a ton of concerts there... they will only sell tickets behind the stage if the stage is open. A lot of times they have a walkway around the stage and the performers walk around to face the people behind so its not too bad. I sat there for U2 and Billy Joel and it was fine.

I've seen concerts from seats behind the stage and it is fine as long as you don't mind watching them from behind.

I went to show with Sting, Billy Joel and Don Henley in the 90s. Staring at Sting's butt was a good thing. Chat Icon

We are going on the 9th. We've been there before and sat behind the stage.... no problem seeing at all and he will occasionally turn around and sing to the people behind the stage too.

I once saw DMB at MSG from behind the stage...second to last row in the place.
It was my first DMB concert and its one of my all time favorite concert memories.
We couldn't really see anything but it sounded phenominal.

My gut feeling says that they will be on the floor somewhere between rows 15-20
just a feeling though.

In the last few years (5 maybe) I have ordered over 100 shows and they have all been at least on the floor.
