King Tut in Philly

Hi everyone,
We are thinking of going to philly for the King Tut exhibit. Has anyone been? Is it worth it? If so, what is the cheapest way to get there? I kind of wanted to avoid driving, but when I went on the Amtrak website tickets were a fortune!
Thanks in advance!!

Re: King Tut in Philly

I was in Philly in March - didn't go to the exhibit - but we drove. It was about 3 hours and was definitely less expensive than taking the train (which I looked into briefly).

wouldn't something like that make it's way to one of the museums in NYC eventually?

One of my friends went and said it was terrific. She lives near philly so travelling wasn't an issue.

I have been thinking about checking it out.

I saw the exhibit when it was here in Chicago. It was really interesting.

Re: King Tut in Philly

I saw the exhibit back in May (in Philly).

It was ok. I guess I had really high expectations because I expected more. But my husband absolutely loved it!

It gets very crowded at points and people swarm around the artifacts. We got the headphones to listen to. I highly recommend them.
