Re: I'm so upset
first-take it off and put it away somewhere. Take it to another jeweler for a look to make sure the other diamonds are secure. As the other jeweler why he/she thinks the diamond came out. You may want to have it fixed by someone else if you don't trust the jeweler.
My first instinct was to go back to the original jeweler.
You may want to put a claim into the insurance company for a replacement.

Re: I'm so upset
oh nooo, i'm sorry!
how large is the stone? will it be fairly easy for you to replace it financially? if not, I would file a claim with the ins. co.
I would take it to a new jeweler.

Re: I'm so upset
I lost one of my small stones out of my wedding band a month after I started my new job (I.T.). I called my insurance company from my desk to find out what I needed to do. I had my ring custom made & only wanted to take it back there. I stopped wearing it immediately. I had to go to the jeweler, get an estimate & call the insurance co from there. I paid out of pocket then was re-imbursed 100%.
ETA; We also ordered a 'work' ring for me
Is your ring insured?

Re: I'm so upset
Sometimes if they are smaller stones you can have them replaced for cheaper than it would be if you have a deductible or if you don't want your insurance rates to go up. I would definitely take it to a different jeweler and get a price on it. And I would also not be wearing it right now.

Re: I'm so upset
This happened to me the DAY Of MY WEDDING. We took it back the next day to the jewler and they fixed it on the spot.

Re: I'm so upset
Take it back to where you bought it and ask them to replace the stone and inspect all other stones. This happened to my ring when it was being professionally cleaned and the jeweler quickly fixed the ring and I haven't had any problems since then.

Re: I'm so upset
I caught one - just as it was about to fall out- I drove straight to the jewler- he had to reset my ring- but said it can happen
depending on the size of the stone it shouldn't be too much to replace- but I would get the whole ring check- I had to get my prongs made bigger

Re: I'm so upset
i had one of my stones crack in the setting. I dropped the ring on a stone floor. It was a .30 stone and it cost about $400 to replace. Insurance paid for it.

Re: I'm so upset
Aww. I'm sorry! I'd take it to another jewler or ask a family member if they have one they use.
