I gave a ride to an elderly couple
tonight stranded at the supermarket
They were so cute and about 70-80 yrs old. They didn't have enough money for a cab after going shopping and didn't know how they were getting home. So they asked DH & I if we could take them. And offered us their last dollar for gas
Of course we took them home. I just wish I had some extra money to give them. But at least I know they made it home OK.

Of course I can't stop thinking about them this morning. They were so sweet and frail. He had some type of disability. I think it may have been from a stroke. He walked with a cane and had some speech problems.
And I know anyone of you ladies would have done the same

One time I gave a ride home to an elderly woman who had walked to the supermarket in the SNOW and ICE to buy her cat catfood! :-O

but it made me sad to hear that and ederly couple couldn't afford a cab.
