disposing of textbooks

i have a lot of textbooks that i finally am going to get rid of, do they go in with the recycle or garbage?

I donate them to either our local library or a local church thrift store. even if they are old publications people buy them as reference books.

But, if you separate/recycle paper I would put them with paper.

or offer them free on craigslist, (books section) someone will pick them up right off your front porch Chat Icon

Sell them on amazon, make some of your money back! I put my history book up on amazon right before my final, by the time I got home it was sold.

the older editions don't sell for much, if anything. it's usually not even worth the cost to list. it is definitely best to sell right after the semester ends!

You could list on half.com - it's free to list, and if it sells they take a 15% commision. I have sold a ton of books that way (even old ones).

I sold some old textbooks there and ebay and I actually MADE mon ey on an old one! I guess it was hard to find.
