There is a stable in Montauk that takes you out on to the beach. I forget the name but they do a great tour.

i saw a riding school on the belt pkwy in BK on my way home tonight...thought that was a pretty strange place for a riding school!

i believe i've read you live in brooklyn
go on the belt parkway between exits 11n and 13, its right after flatbush ave north goint eastboud,
it is strange place to put horseback riding but its actually really nice, there are nice trails and i believe you ride near the water

Jamaica Bay in Brooklyn, or you can go to Claremont Academy which is on 89th St between Columbus and Amsterdam. When I was in High School I used to go with my friend and take the horses out into Central Park. However, I am unclear if hey still do that. It was awesome. We used to jump park benches.
Okay...just checked the Claremont website. They don't seem to do that anymore...actually, sorry, but they have closed. Try Jamaica Bay Riding Academy

We go to Jamaica Bay - it's the one everyone's talking about that's off the Belt Parkway.
I've been going there for years...and my family had two horses there as well.
