honestly though sweet Stef, I looked up the whole Charlotte Church debacle, since you didn't....and as is YOUR usual, you were right there adding the pepper, stirring the pot.
I think everyone says "mean" or over the tops things about celebs all the time. some get the while others are vilified for it...
I guess I dont' see much of a difference between saying a woman has a fug face and saying another preggo is fat....
it's all mean. so why crucify one?

I posted it here b/c this seems to be on the place where people can make fun of celebs freely (which is fine since it's designated and for sh1ts and giggles)
I think it's strange that she (curliegirl) is being berated (for lack of a better term) for her opinions about "fat" celebs, when others comment on it freely all the time.
like I said, I understand it's all in good fun. but why is it suddenly "unfun"

I think it was brought up again b/c the self-proclaimed male of the group chose to stir the pot.
I'm guessing it was an issue in the first place b/c pregnant woman seem to deal with the "fine line" of being pregnant or fat on a daily basis and here you have someone highlighting that line...and thinking it was funny or OK b/c she's pregnant herself. It was tacky.

I understand that. but at the same time, people make fun on people's FACES on a daily basis, which I think is worse.
yes, being overweight is a sore point. but you can lose fat.
can you lose "fugs" or "buttaface"
perhaps people relate more closely to the weight issue, but I think it's unfair to say "yes, you can call her ugly but don't call her fat"

No, the CC post in reference was the other day. But I new we had talked about her being pregnant before and searched for it and that is what I read.

I think weight is always a hot-button topic and for the most part I think people generally think they're way better looking than they actually are...but neither of the two have to do with pregnancy.
I think ragging on a pregnant woman is more insensitive than ragging on someone who thinks they're hot when they're not. But that's just me...and why I thought the comments were presumptuous and just tacky, really.
