Lots of things - family has been down there a long time, weather, house prices (although that's changing).
A select few have know this for quite a while but I had to keep it quiet on here because of stuff with DH's job at the time - so - even though this has been definite for months - I am moving in - gulp - around 5 1/2 weeks from now.
I am having very mixed feelings lately

I agree with above, you will LOVE it. At first you will, of course, be a little homesick but it goes away and it is great down here

It's really hard to leave Long Beach in the summer - I would have loved to have moved in the winter - but I had to wait for the school year to end.
Camacho and I will be about 25 minutes from each other!
